Last week I was asked by John of the Disabled Veteran’s Committee on Housing to photograph the Country Legends Revival and what a show it was! Not only was it a concert benefiting local disabled veterans, the entertainers were so great! Robbie Limon, The Carroll Bothers Band, and Charlee Allman opened it up for Michael Twitty, son of late Conway Twitty. Let me tell you…. If you do not know who Charlee Allman is, YOU WILL. This twelve year old tiny girl stole the entire show. AMAZING! While I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in the door, it was a great concert. Michael Twitty was not only fantastic at singing his father’s songs, but he was such a great storyteller and was actually really funny!
During the show, the Veteran’s Committee on Housing unveiled the dedication on what will now be known as the Margaret L. Richmond Veteran’s Community Center, located in Stasburg, Virginia. Once completed, the center will allow disabled veterans a place to live while re-acclimating to civilian life and can house up to six veterans who risk becoming homeless otherwise. The center will also help veterans create resumes and connect them with potential jobs as well as assist with completing paperwork to seek benefits and assistance through the Veterans Administration.
A great night out for a great organization in support of an awesome cause! Check out these pictures from the show!
